August 23, 2023– Jack Driscoll’s Twenty Stories: New and Selected, won the 2022 Pushcart Editors Prize. His novels or story collections received the PEN/Nelson Algren Award, AWP Grace Paley Short Fiction Prize, Society of Midland Authors Award, and Michigan Notable Book Awards. John Hoppenthaler – September 27, 2023
John Hoppenthaler has had four books of poetry published by Carnegie Mellon U. Press, including Night Wing Over Metropolitan Area—due out this October. Professor of Creative Writing and Literature at East Carolina University, he also serves on the Advisory Board for Backbone Press, specializing in publication and promotion of marginalized voices.

Derek Pollard and Terry Blackhawk – June 28, 2023
June 28 – Derek Pollard is Editor of the Poets on Poetry Series at University of Michigan Press. A widely published poet, book critic, longtime educator, and workshop leader, he founded Constellar Creative, a creative agency that specializes in content marketing and copywriting. His most recent poetry collection is On the Verge of Something Bright and Good.
June 28 – Terry Bohnhorst Blackhawk founded and for twenty years directed the InsideOut Literary Arts Project for Detroit students. Her poetry has won the John Ciardi Prize (for Escape Artist), the 2010 Pablo Neruda Prize, and a Kresge fellowship. Her fifth book, One Less River, was a Top 2019 Indie Poetry title. Her latest chapbook is Maumee, Maumee.

David James and Bill Harris- May 24, 2023

May 24 – David James was born and raised on the third coast, Michigan. His most recent of seven published books is Alive in Your Skin While You Still Own It, and another—She Dances Like Mussolini—won the Next Generation Indie Book Award. He’s had over thirty one-act plays produced in the U.S. and Ireland.
May 24 – Bill Harris, Emeritus professor of English at Wayne State University, is a poet, playwright, prose writer and arts critic. I Got to Keep Moving, a book of related short stories is his latest publication. He was named the 2011 Kresge Eminent Artist for his contributions to the Detroit Literary scene.

Linda Nemec Foster – March 22, 2023
March 22 – Linda Nemec Foster is author of twelve poetry collections including The Blue Divide and The Lake Michigan Mermaid (a Michigan Notable Book). Bone Country is her forthcoming collection of prose poems and flash fiction. Linda was the first Poet Laureate of Grand Rapids and founder of the Contemporary Writers Series at Aquinas College.

Linda Sienkiewicz and Hiram Larew – February 22, 2023
Linda K. Sienkiewicz is the author of an award-winning novel, In the Context of Love, a children’s picture book, and five poetry chapbooks—the latest being Sleepwalker. Thomas Lynch – January 25, 2023

Patricia Barnes
November 30 – Patricia Barnes writes, makes art, and watches the Detroit River from her home in Wyandotte. She has won numerous prizes in ten poetry contests and her work has appeared in Peninsula Poets, The MacGuffin, Third Wednesday, and Water Music: The Great Lake State Poetry Anthology. Her latest book of poems is Cup of Home.
